You can transfer your current mobile number if you're moving from your current Australian mobile provider and you're the account holder for your mobile service.
You'll need to provide us with:
- your current mobile number, and
- your date of birth or,
- current mobile account number when you set up and activate your service.
When you port your number, make sure that you keep your current SIM in your phone, to receive a text with the confirmation code. You’ll be able to enter the code into the website or app to continue the set-up process.
Please remember to keep your number active with your existing provider until the transfer is complete.
Connecting a new mobile service with a new number can take up to 10 minutes once you've completed the set up and connect process.
If you're transferring your number over from another provider it's usually activated within 4 hours, but if you activate your SIM outside of Belong porting hours (8am- 8pm, Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm, Saturday) it can take up to 36 hours.

Things you should know: If you decide to port your number to Belong, your current mobile provider may charge you for leaving, like early termination payments.
